From Wine to Rose….all the Holiday #Outfitinspo you need for the Fall/ Winter season…..The Look #32

Happy Thanksgiving! I’m getting excited for the holiday season & the chance to get a little dressed up for all the different holiday events. This season my absolute favorite colors have been Wine & Rose Pink and I just love how these colors look together and how they mix and match so effortlessly in different fabrics & textures.

I like to keep my pretty holiday looks a little bit casual and to mix them with some edgier accessories like a studded handbag or some sleek rock n roll style boots. It’s fun to play with different looks and to combine feminine fabrics such as lace, satin or velvet.

Wishing you a happy & healthy holiday season with lots of style, fun & happiness!

Here are some of my favorite looks for the fall/winter holiday season…..

Even though it’s fall, I’ve been so into PINK lately…

Pink seems to be one of the colors of the moment & it’s looking good on everything from furry winter coats, tops, dresses, sweaters, shoes, accessories & more. Pink is the color of LOVE & OPTIMISM and we definitely could use more of both of these feelings in the world today!

This week I got inspired & created a new mood board for my office space which I posted on INSTAGRAM….

The Look #22: The prettiest trend for Spring Summer ’17….Eyelet & Crochet Lace

Just loving all the pretty crochet & lace tops & romantic dresses for the Spring Summer season….Here in NYC we are still anxiously waiting for Spring to officially be sprung, but in the meantime it’s fun to plan & dream about all the pretty things to wear when it’s warm!

Also, if you are like me & just cannot wait, it’s fun to mix some new spring items (dresses & blouses) in with some of your fave winter items & to layer different pieces for that transitional season from winter to spring.

Here’s one of my favorite new Instagram looks that’s feminine & chic & also combines a few of my favorite winter items

-1

(This top is currently on sale & comes in 3 different colors, shop it here!)

Crochet & Lace tops & dresses are pretty styles that are so girly & fun. Add a little edge by combining them with ripped jeans & boots or more hard edged accessories that have fringe, studs or metallic hardware.

Here are my current favorite tops, dresses & accessories for the Eyelet & Crochet Lace Trend :

Throwback Style Inspiration…..Sixties Style Icon-Jean Shrimpton

Who is on your fashion radar this spring? Some people always have their favorite style icons & others get inspired by the trends & have new icons each season….and as the sunshine begins to replace the snow & the winter season goes, it’s time to get inspired for Spring Summer 2017! Usually I’m always inspired by those who are a little offbeat & bold, but right now I’m so loving all the retro floral prints & pretty dresses that were on the SS17 runways, as well as all the feminine chiffons, ruffles upon ruffles, crisp cotton tops & of course the color PINK. This brings to mind the retro-modern days of the swinging sixties where women got into music, art & the “mod pop fashion scene” of London.

This season, I’m inspired by Jean Shrimpton in the 1960’s.

Jean Shrimpton is an English model and actress. She was considered “The Face of the 60’s” & was one of the first supermodels! She had an amazing, memorable & truly timeless style that still resonates today….I love her feminine yet modern look.

The Look- Retro. Modern. Feminine

Shades of Pink for SS17-The Look #16

The Spring Summer season is right around the corner and it’s always fun to dream about what you will be wearing once it’s warm outside when it’s actually freezing cold and you’re bundling up in coats & layers every day. There are lots of different trends emerging for Spring/ Summer but one of the standout themes has been a feminine romantic look with a FOCUS on the color PINK.

Pink is the color of LOVE & is associated with OPTIMISM, ROMANCE & PLAYFULNESS. Kind of what we all need right now with everything that’s going on in the world…. It’s always a good idea to think positively and focus on what’s good in your life & wearing certain colors can really lift your mood and create a sense of fun!

Here are some of my new favorite PINK items for the Spring season. Some could be worn now & some later….I’m especially loving  the soft shades of DUSTY ROSE & BALLERINA PINK and all the RUFFLES, flowing CHIFFON fabrics & CUT-OUT details.

HAPPY (almost) SPRING!

The Look # 15-Faux Fur & Ruffles- Winter Chic

Winter is here! And it’s so cold out! I’m spending my first winter in ages in NYC and it’s a bit of a shock to the system after so many years in sunny California. But still, it can be fun to bundle up when the temperatures drop. The super cold weather is no an excuse to stop looking cute, but still it can be a bit of a challenge at times.

This winter season I’m loving cozy faux fur jackets and the cutest sweaters with ruffles and lace-up details paired with denim and fun booties. There’s so much cute stuff out there in the stores right now…. Also, why not add some unexpected dashes of color to your winter outfits? Too much black & grey will leave you feeling drab, so throw in some shots of bold color with your neutrals to instantly lift up your mood. Then pile on chic layers and top off with your scarf, hat, gloves & a cool statement bag & you’re good to go…..

Here’s some inspiration to create your own winter casual look that will keep you feeling chic & warm….

The Look #13- Retro Glam

The holiday season is upon us….and it’s time to start thinking about all those fun events and parties & what you’ll be wearing this season….I’ve been loving all the 80’s inspired styles that are in the stores right now as well as some of the “New Wave” inspired collections that are coming soon for Resort 2017. These fun, over the top and truly optimistic styles provide just the escape we need right now. Pile on the glitsy glam and bring out the bling….then go out and have some fun!

I’m loving this dressed up Glam look that’s mixed with edgy embellished leather, ripped denim, metallic rock studs, sleek metallics and cool animal prints. For a play on contrasts, combine a ruffled blouse with a studded jacket and leather jeans, or a sexy metallic dress with a velvet jacket. Combine different fabrics, textures & prints for a retro-modern look. These looks are party perfect for all of your end of the year events. Get the latest….. “Retro Glam”
