SPRING 2018: HOW TO ADD NEW COLOR TO YOUR WARDROBE THIS SPRING

Wow! I can’t believe it’s already May! I’ve been a bit missing in action on the site lately with so many changes & so much going in my life lately….but…….I’m very excited to get back into the spring season & to be writing again here on Rock Paper Sequins. It’s been a looooong & cold winter here on the East coast & it’s finally starting toward up & feels like spring is finally in the air.

It’s so fun to be in the city this time of year, everyone is so excited to be outdoors and there’s such an amazing collective energy and optimism on the streets and in the parks and the cafes too, it’s contagious!

Anyway, I’ve been anticipating this season for a while and excited to start wearing all the new spring threads. One thing I’m really excited about is adding more color into my wardrobe after many months of wearing darker colors.

What are your favorite colors to wear this spring?

I’m currently so excited about: PINK, YELLOW & LILAC

pretty in pink

Pink is the color of optimism & love. It can be delicate & sweet and feminine & romantic, but it also represents universal love and the most powerful form of love which is self love….

What are your favorite go-to looks?

Lately, I’ve been wearing different faux-fur jackets with ripped denim skinny jeans, a feminine blouse (hopefully with lots of ruffles) & booties. It’s becoming a sort of winter uniform for my casual days here in NYC. But now that winter is here it can be a challenge not to wear too much black clothing all the time. It’s fun to mix things up in the colder months with some pops of color or something unexpected like a white coat.

I wore this vintage Juicy Couture faux fur jacket with a Style Mafia lace trim off the shoulder top, J Brand ripped denim  & black suede booties & the handbag is from Betsey Johnson.

Stepping into December & twinning with my sweet doggie Louise! Have been getting excited about the holidays, some new projects I’ve been working on and all that’s to come in 2017.

XO,

Zoe
