NYC Style: The Transitional Pieces You Need This Spring #Outfitinspo

With the warm weather approaching at last, it’s finally time to start wearing those new spring looks….But you’ll still need that transitional jacket & shoes to get you into the season. The beginning of spring is so exciting but also a little tricky to dress for when you’re on the go. Mornings can start off chilly, afternoons are hot & evenings can be somewhere in the middle here in NYC….

Pretty floral tops & bohemian style blouses are great for this time of year and can also be dressed down on weekends or transformed into a cute festival look if you’re headed to see any of the concerts this year….

My key pieces for this time of year are:

transitional jacket– you’ll need a great jacket or 2 that goes with anything that you can wear in the morning & then take off again in the afternoon. The Moto jacket is a classic choice that you can find in plaid black, with embellishments or in fun colors.

MOTO JACKET 1. Levi’s  / 2. Blank NYC  / 3. Sunset & Spring  4. Rebecca Minkoff

a pretty blouse or mini dress– a great new spring dress or blouse is perfect for layering over jeans, leggings or pants for now & this look will take you from a day at the office to happy hour or can also be a great weekend brunch look too.

FLOWER PRINT DRESS or TOP  1. YFB on the Road / 2. Topshop 3. Rebecca Minkoff  4. Topshop

jeans– you can never go wrong with jeans that are comfortable & flattering & can be dressed up or down for any occasion

RIPPED DENIM   1. Articles of Society /  2. Topshop /  3. J Brand/  4. AG/

Winter White, Lace & Ripped Denim

What are your favorite go-to looks?

Lately, I’ve been wearing different faux-fur jackets with ripped denim skinny jeans, a feminine blouse (hopefully with lots of ruffles) & booties. It’s becoming a sort of winter uniform for my casual days here in NYC. But now that winter is here it can be a challenge not to wear too much black clothing all the time. It’s fun to mix things up in the colder months with some pops of color or something unexpected like a white coat.

I wore this vintage Juicy Couture faux fur jacket with a Style Mafia lace trim off the shoulder top, J Brand ripped denim  & black suede booties & the handbag is from Betsey Johnson.

Stepping into December & twinning with my sweet doggie Louise! Have been getting excited about the holidays, some new projects I’ve been working on and all that’s to come in 2017.

XO,

Zoe
