The Look #11- Bohemian Deluxe

The bohemian look gets an update with luxe velvet, rich jewel tone colors and bold floral and paisley prints. Pile it all on together with bold accessories, suede boots and fringe details for a Carnaby Street style meets Jimi Hendrix vibe.

Create your own eclectic look that makes a statement by mixing a floral prints dress with a  velvet jacket or a printed ruffle top with a suede skirt.

THE LOOK: GLAMOROUS. SEXY. CASUAL

You’ll be the ultimate “Foxy Lady” in these luxury bohemian looks for fall.

THE LOOK  #10- Pretty Edgy-Rockin’ Romance

Fall always seems like a good time to get a little tougher with what you are wearing…..think boots, leather jackets & heavy metal details on your accessories. But there’s another side to this fall season that’s just simply romantic. If you are like me and still holding on to that summer mood, you might want to make that transition to an autumn look filled with feminine details, ruffled blouses, lace fabrics and long flowing dresses……

These are the perfect looks to mix with some tougher pieces you probably already have in your closet. Go pretty and edgy by mixing a ruffled blouse with a motorcyle jacket, ripped jeans and boots. Or pair a long flowing dress with a studded jacket. Think leather and lace……and spiked metal with pink…….

I love this romantic but rock n roll feeling for creating an effortless personal style for the fall season.

ALL THE INSPIRATION YOU NEED FOR YOUR 90’S STYLE WARDROBE- THE INSPIRATION #6-“Like Teen Spirit”

So….that 90’s feeling has been in the air lately….you see in on television, in music and in fashion. From 90’s Icon Winona Ryder starring in the hit sci-fi  Netflix show “Stranger Things”….

And continuing with some of the current street style pics from NY Fashion Week, I think it’s safe to say….the 90’s are back!

Street style shots from NY Fashion Week 2016

Some people hated the style of the 90’s and some people loved it, but from Grunge to Glam to Baby doll Rock n Roll, there’s a fun & modern way to bring back the style of the & keep it looking cool & fresh……

There’s nothing like the grey sky and cool air of fall to get you in the mood for something a little bit darker, tougher & stronger…..& to channel the vibes from the Pacific Northwest, where some of the most well known grunge bands originated.

I also love the whole 90’s baby doll rock n’ roll look of Courtney Love from Hole & the way she mixed a little dress with fishnets, dark lipstick, smudged eyeliner and a cool guitar.

Here’s some images to get inspired for the new look: Modern 90’s

The Look # 9- Grunge Meets Glam

The fall season is upon us & I’m looking forward to cooler temperatures. I’m loving a lot of the fall 2016 fashion trends, but I’m especially excited about the 90’s trend that’s been emerging lately. One of my favorite time periods in fashion history is the early 90’s when Anna Sui had her first runway show, Marc Jacobs creating his “Grunge” collection for Perry Ellis and a young Kate Moss burst onto the scene.

I loved Kate Moss’s effortless personal style & feminine but rock and roll spirit.  I also loved the rich colors, fabrics, prints & jewelry of the early 90’s that are just as inspirational today as they were back then.

I’m so looking forward to wearing animal prints, velvet, plaid & washed out denim this fall. Also love the look of dreamy flowing chiffon print dresses & tops with motorcycle boots.

Here’s some outfit inspiration for a 90’s inspired look for this Fall season…………..

BLOGGER STYLE: Last Days of Summer

All summer I couldn’t get enough of wearing off the shoulder tops & dresses while exploring my new hometown : New York City ! Here is one of my favorite looks from this summer season that I posted on Instagram.

I wore this outfit in Brooklyn at Afro Punk Fest. It was a super hot & sunny day at the outdoor music festival but a day filled with great music, inspiring people and loving, creative energy!

I cant seem to get enough of the off the shoulder look and this top was no exception. I like the simple styling with a pop of bold color & the crochet lace fabric.

I love the vibe and details of this off the shoulder top and the way it works well with simple denim cutoffs & a red lip & manicure. I can’t wait to wear it again this fall with black jeans & boots.

THE ICON #7 KATE MOSS- 90’S Style Icon

Even though I’m sad that summer is finally coming to an end, there are new things to be excited about once the weather gets colder, and that’s new fall clothing of course! As the season begins to change and the leaves start to fall, it’s time to get into that back to school feeling and start planning your new wardrobe…..

This is my first fall on the East coast after a long time of living in California & I’m excited to experience a real shift in seasons again. I’m loving all the fall 2016 style trends and looking forward to wearing animal prints, velvet, faux leather & suede as well as dreamy flowing chiffon dresses & tops with boots.

The first fashion icon I thought of to follow for Fall 2016 is the always stylish & forever timeless Kate Moss. I love her effortless personal style & feminine but rock and roll spirit.  But, I also remember her 90’s look from her early modeling days that feels so inspiring for this current season. The rich colors, plush fabrics, bold prints & jewelry of the early 90’s are just as inspirational today as they were back then. Here’s to you, Kate Moss- one of the most iconic models of all time!

Sometimes it feels so good to put on something that’s just simply pretty! And what better time than for summertime in the city ? Lately I’m loving all the sweet pastels, muted tone romantic looks and ethereal dresses. You can toughen something sweet & soft with a little bit more of a hard edged accessory. Here is some inspiration & a touch of romance for a “Sweet Summer in the City” look.
