Trending For Spring 2017: “Blue Jean Babe”…Get The Denim On Denim Look

Calling all denim lovers! You can never have too much denim in your closet & this season is the time to embrace it all with the denim on denim trend. This look is back again  but this time in a more sophisticated way…..you won’t be on denim overload if you pair a lighter wash with a darker one or blue denim with black.

Because this denim jacket has such a light wash (similar here & here), I paired it with dark wash jeans (here) and combined it with a feminine eyelet top (similar here & here) for a casual yet effortless look. I always love ruffled, frilled and feminine tops, but sometimes I like to pair them with simple, darker wash jeans for a clean & sophisticated look.

Currently craving…. Denim on Denim looks for Spring/ Summer ’17.

For the Spring/ Summer season, there are tons of great new things in denim…..I’m loving the lighter washes, patchwork details & bleached out jeans. Mix and match embellished with distressed & embroidered denim with classic pieces…..It’s all about the mix & there are no rules to creating your own personal style!

Here are some of my favorite “Denim on Denim” inspired items & street style photos for SS17:

Rose Bouquet Print Dress & Moto Jacket

img_6600

I’ve been loving wine, berry & pink tones this season. They are the perfect colors to wear now to brighten up your wardrobe while still feeling like you are dressing for fall. I was so excited to find this printed chiffon dress in exactly the color I was looking for and also love the pretty floral print, ruffles & overall retro vibe. It’s a great dress for layering and would also look good worn over jeans or high boots.

I wore this Band Of Gypsies long sleeve dress with my Zara moto jacket & added my new black Sam Edelman suede boots, pink suede Monserat de Luca fringe bag, Prada sunglasses & a Topshop velvet choker.

I love wearing boots with dresses and these have a great block heel that is really comfortable for stomping around the city and would also look great with either jeans or dresses. I like how the jacket and boots add a bit of toughness to an otherwise feminine look.

Zoe

BLOGGER STYLE: Last Days of Summer

All summer I couldn’t get enough of wearing off the shoulder tops & dresses while exploring my new hometown : New York City ! Here is one of my favorite looks from this summer season that I posted on Instagram.

I wore this outfit in Brooklyn at Afro Punk Fest. It was a super hot & sunny day at the outdoor music festival but a day filled with great music, inspiring people and loving, creative energy!

I cant seem to get enough of the off the shoulder look and this top was no exception. I like the simple styling with a pop of bold color & the crochet lace fabric.

I love the vibe and details of this off the shoulder top and the way it works well with simple denim cutoffs & a red lip & manicure. I can’t wait to wear it again this fall with black jeans & boots.
