Winter Favorites….For the Win! 2019

Happy New year!! I hope your new year is getting off to a fabulous start! This new year started on a relaxing note for us…we flew in the from a holiday trip to Los Angeles on the early evening part of New Year’s Eve and had a very tired but cozy evening in with the family….I used to absolutely hate the idea of staying in on New Year’s…but it’s actually not so bad if you are with the ones you love… 🙂

Anyway, now that the new year is in full swing and we are back on the East coast again, it’s time to think about how to survive the next few months of winter & braving the cold weather in style!

FINALLY Fall is here! I get so excited this time of year because it’s a chance for a fresh start & a new beginning plus it’s also an amazing time to start creating a new wardrobe and this season does not disappoint! The Top 4 Style trends for Spring 2017

I love the sunshine! Just a few days ago it was the first day of spring & I am beyond excited for this new season! Let the sun shine on in….
Spring is always such an exciting season & especially after months of wearing boots and bundling up every day, it’s so exciting to put on pretty dresses & tops, light weight jackets and open toe sandals again. I’m so excited for all the new outfits to wear once the weather is perfect and warm again!

This season there are so many amazing new trends that definitely match my personal style on repeat: feminine details, bright colors & a vintage vibe. I’m so excited about these new looks but I know that sometimes it can be hard to figure out what you might want or need to refresh your wardrobe come spring.
Not to worry! I’ve rounded up the hottest trends for you this season….

Here are my top 4 favorite trends for Spring/ Summer ’17:

1) Think Pink/
Pink is the hottest color this season! It’s such a flattering color and a great update to a basic wardrobe
2) Turn Up The Volume /
Cannot get enough of ruffles! This is such a fun new trend that comes in all different sizes and there are many creative ways to wear ruffles this spring
3) Tropical & Bright /
The bolder the better! Get inspired for that Tropical Vacation…

4) Flower Girl /
I’m loving all the gorgeous & vintage inspired floral prints this season

HOW TO START WEARING THE NEW SPRING TRENDS IN WINTER…

Lately, I’ve been dreaming about the upcoming spring summer season & finding ways to start adding in the new style trends into my current winter look. I’ve been loving all things PINK and RUFFLED with METALLIC accessories, pastel hued FAUX FUR & bold EMBROIDERIES. It’s also fun to play with different fabric textures & SATIN is definitely set to replace fall’s VELVET looks this spring.

You can wear SATIN & RUFFLES for day & mix with RIPPED DENIM & boots, or dress it up for night time with heels and bold accessories. Speaking about accessories…it’s a fun way to get a jump on the spring summer trends a little bit early.

I wore this ZARA faux fur coat with a TOPSHOP satin ruffle top (on sale!), my favorite J BRAND ripped jeans & new TOPSHOP metallic booties (on sale!) & embroidered handbag. This is such a fun & affordable look!
